LG G5 SE Pros & Cons Review

Although equipped with a 3GB RAM instead of the original model's 4GB and still only 2800mAh of power (at least, 3000mAh was the sweet spot for high-tier Androids when it came out), the LG G5's SE version offers most of the original's flagship specs.

Its biggest pros include a dual rear camera setup , particularly, a 16-megapixel f/1.8 main sensor accompanied by a secondary 8-megapixel 135-degree wide angle sidekick cam. A third camera (8-megapixel) for selfies sits atop its screen.

Just like the G5, this model boasts a 554ppi, 800nit-bright, 2K-1440p Quantum Touch IPS 5.3-inch always-on display , however, instead of the Snapdragon 820 chip, it runs on a lower-class (yet still high-end) Snapdragon 652 1.8GHz + 1.2GHz eight-core processor. Topping off its pros and cons are a modular design that aims to let you replace its battery with ease -- many other flagship models have built-in batteries -- as well as a 32GB memory expandable by up to 2TB .

So, while the LG G5 SE is a tad less-appealing on some fronts, it is nonetheless a flagship-class follow-up to LG's premier 2016 G5 model.
