ZTE Sonata 3 Pros & Cons Review

Picture of the ZTE Sonata 3, by ZTE

- Analysis by KJ David

Despite being the third model in its series, ZTE's Sonata 3 does not quite meet our desired tempo for a 2016 entry-level release.

Its most out-of-tune con is the sub-par FWVGA (854 x 480) screen resolution on its 5-inch display, which is at least accompanied by a pro, in the form of its damage-resistant Dragontrail Glass cover . Also, it likely struggles versus most other 2016-released budget Androids imaging-wise, since it only has 5- and 2-megapixel cameras on board, while many of its rivals have 8- plus 5-megapixel camera duos. Adding to its low-end specs are a basic 1GB RAM and a 1.1GHz quad-core processor , though it also offers Dolby Audio , LTE connectivity , and M4/T3 hearing aid compliance .

In review, though the ZTE Sonata 3's pros and cons are not quite in harmony with 2016 standards, we cannot really expect that from a phone that came out with a sub-$50 price point.
