Acer's 5-inch Liquid Z520 appears to be a well-rounded mid-range Android, though its selection of pros and cons is nothing new as far as this smartphone class is concerned.
It is one of only a handful of Androids announced during the Mobile World Congress 2015 that do not run v5.0 Lollipop out of the box 
, which is a tad surprising considering that it was release together with Acer's first Android 5.0 model (Liquid Z220). That said, it still packs a DTS Studio Sound audio system 
as well as voice-controlled 8- and 2-megapixel cameras .
The Z520 may not have brought anything new to the budget smartphone department, but at least we did not see anything too old in its specs list.
