Alcatel One Touch Idol 2 Mini Review of The Pros And Cons

Picture of the Alcatel One Touch Idol 2 Mini, by Alcatel

While we do not think it is fair to call the Idol 2 Mini's 4.5-inch IPS display, quad-core 1.2GHz processor, and 8-megapixel camera small potatoes, we do not find them impressive enough to be associated with the word idol either. Especially when they are joined by a 1GB RAM (512MB in some versions) and a 4GB memory (8GB for the dual-SIM variant). On the other hand, it is not that strange - in our opinion - for Alcatel to be making a big deal out of the Android 4.3 smartphone's (and its LTE brothers) metal body (there are a lot of plastic phones out there) and its One Finger Zoom function, which seems potentially useful. Who knows, some people may even root for this second Idol mini because of these features.

** This phone is also known as: Alcatel One Touch Idol II Mini, Alcatel One Touch Idol 2 Mini S (LTE version), Alcatel OT-6016A, Alcatel OT-6016X, Alcatel OT-6016D (Dual SIM), Alcatel OT-6016E (Dual SIM)
