Alcatel OneTouch Elevate Pros & Cons Review

Picture of the Alcatel OneTouch Elevate, by Alcatel

- Analysis by KJ David

Other than HD Voice , which promises clearer in-call audio compared to conventional digital telephony, and 4G LTE capability , the 4.5-inch Alcatel Elevate does not seem to pack enough to rise over its entry-level competitors. Further down its list of pros and cons, we caught 5- and 2-megapixel cameras , which are nothing of note, considering that higher-resolution cams have been weaving their way into the budget Android tier as of late. Its quad-core 1.1GHz processor is also slightly off-key, as 1.2GHz seems to be the go-to clock rate for most of its rivals. The Elevate's 8GB/1GB memory/RAM combination does not heighten its shelf spot, either, telling us that Alcatel did not intend for it to be more than a low-profile pitch.
