It may look like many other entry-level smartphones with 4-inch screens, but the Alcatel OneTouch Evolve 2 has several drawbacks against its 2014 competitors. For example, its VGA front-facing camera does not quite match its release date -- not to mention that its 5-megapixel main camera only records VGA (640 x 480) videos as well. Its dual-core processor might not be that impressive, too, as many other starter Androids have quad-core engines equipped. Perhaps the intention was to bring the Evolve 2's price lower compared to similar modes, but even those shopping on a low budget will appreciate a bit more muscle.
