Alcatel Idol 3 4.7 Review & Pros And Cons

Despite having a similar fully-reversible interface as the 5.5-inch Idol 3, this 4.7-inch variant takes several hits to its pros and cons hardware-wise.

Unlike the 5.5 version, which had a 2GB RAM and a 32GB maximum internal memory, the Idol 3 (4.7) comes with a mere 1GB RAM and only 8GB worth of on-board storage -- though a 16GB version is available as well. It also drops to a 2000mAh battery capacity , probably since it only runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core engine instead of the 5.5's octa-core chip. That said, the JBL plus Clari-Fi audio system and Technicolor-enhanced display remain shared selling points for both versions.

The 4.7-inch Idol 3 may be slightly less capable, but it likely comes with a cheaper tag, too.
