Alcatel Pixi 4 (5) 4G Pros & Cons Review

- Analysis by KJ David

Even though the Alcatel Pixi 4 5 4G adds 4G LTE connectivity to its 3G-only sibling's specs, it slapped on a couple more cons as well. For starters, its quad-core CPU now only runs at 1GHz , instead of the 3G model's 1.3GHz, with a similar 1GB-only RAM as an accompaniment. Moreover, it brings down the front cam resolution from 8 to 5 megapixels , though it still offers a front flash function for selfies.

Among its pros are an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera , but only because tons of other low-end Alcatel models settle for 5-megapixel cams or lower. Like other Pixi 4 variants, it also offers plenty of case colors to choose from , including Gold, Pink, and Yellow.

Our conclusion, however, based on its overall blend of pros and cons, is that the Pixi 4 5 4G is the opposite of an enchanting (as in a pixies) 2016 Android.
