Archos 50 Helium Plus Review of Pros And Cons

- Analysis by KJ David

The Archos 50 Helium Plus's processor lists both a pro and a con under its belt, as its quad-core 64-bit chip only clocks in at 1GHz . Hardware is not its strongest suit, though, as its 13- and 5-megapixel cameras are the most advanced specs that we found within its mid-range profile. The Archos Fusion Storage that allows you to merge the native memory with microSD storage sounds quite handy as well -- a feature also offered by the 55 Helium+. That being said, its 2000mAh battery capacity might make it run out of gas sooner than its 5.5-inch brother with 2400mAh. Its body SAR rating also seems to be breathing helium, reaching as high as 1.68w/Kg -- according to Archos' spec sheet -- which is higher than the usual limit of 1.60.

Archos was not exactly cooking with gas with the 50 Helium Plus, though it does come with some fresh perks over older mid-range devices.
