While we expected some reduction in features for the PadFone X's mini version, Asus might have written off some key selling points of the original model. For instance, the PadFone X Mini no longer operates on a Qualcomm quad-core processor. Instead, it uses an Intel-made 1.6GHz dual-core engine -- we sure hope the Hyper-Threading technology lives up to the advertising. The 13-megapixel rear camera was also replaced with a 5-megapixel one, though the PixelMaster technology is still present. Despite those obvious cutbacks, the Asus PadFone X Mini still has the two-in-one phone-to-tablet feature, probably fitting techies looking for a more modest version of the PadFone X.
