BlackBerry 9720 Pros And Cons Review

Picture of the BlackBerry 9720, by BlackBerry

At first glance, we were not impressed by the fact that this 2013 BlackBerry model still runs on the BlackBerry 7 OS, despite the release of the latest BB OS - version 10. In addition to winding the clock back, it runs on a mere 806MHz processor with a 512MB RAM, which possibly translates to screen lags on its 2.8-inch touch display every now and then. Battery power (1450mAh) and max video resolution (480p) also took a blow. The Multicast and right-from-camera sharing might have been nice touches, but the dated specs place it way outside of BlackBerry's premium phone line. Conclusion: the BlackBerry 9720 might have been intended as an introductory phone, but better phones within the same price range are widely available.
