The BlackBerry Leap is BB's take on the conventional smartphone form factor, losing the signature physical QWERTY typing pad but coming with an array of pros and cons rather archetypal from the business-inclined brand.
Its 2GB RAM stands out from the rest of its hardware, which includes a mere dual-core 1.5GHz processor (most mid-tier smartphones have quad-core engines) and a 16GB memory. Its 2-megapixel selfie cam is also nothing new as far as frontal sub-cameras go.
That said, it does attempt to make up for its cons with a classic mix of BB apps, including the BB Assistant and the BBM voice/video-calling client . Conclusion: the Leap might have kicked off a line of smartphones from BB geared towards a younger professional clientele.
