BLU Advance 4.0 M Review of Pros And Cons

- Analysis by KJ David

One of the least-advanced smartphones to come out of BLU in 2016, the Advance 4.0 M comes with cons that include a 512MB-only RAM accompanying its 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, a 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480) 233ppi screen , and a 1300mAh battery capacity that pales in comparison to the roughly-2300mAh average as of its release. Moreover, it sports a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) frontal camera -- a technology from the previous millennium that does not want to die -- and a 2-megapixel-only rear-facing main cam .

Despite those drawbacks, though, the BLU Advance 4.0 M still has its pros, including a leather back pattern and a polished middle housing , which at least give its mundane specs some flavor on the physical front. It also supports 64GB memory card slots (A lot of its low-end rivals settle for 32GB cards), probably to make up for its paltry 4GB internal memory .

As far as pros and cons are concerned, this not-so-advanced Advance model reaches out to entry-level shoppers eyeing a cheap and simple Android.
