One of the clearest reflections of the BLU Dash L3's ultra-low-budget status is its 3.2-megapixel main camera 
. While many other manufacturers would manage to scrape in at least a 5-megapixel main sensor at the expense of other specs, this device evidently doesn't prioritize its imaging capabilities as much. Its 2-megapixel selfie cam isn't impressive, either. On the other hand, it can record at a maximum video resolution of 720p, which is more acceptable than the last two mentioned specs.
Nonetheless, BLU definitely made an effort in upgrading this model's physical appearance. Sporting an aluminum back cover that has a sandblasted finish 
, it has the aesthetics of a phone that might be worth a couple of tens of dollars more. Its curved glass display -- which is uncommon in budget phones -- adds to its appeal, as well. However, the Dash L3 is quite thick at 11.5mm , which is unexpected given its 4-inch-only screen and small battery power.

Speaking of its battery, the Dash L3 is powered by a 1400mAh tank, which is about 42 percent smaller than the average across all phones as of March 2017 . Granted, it doesn't really have demanding features that call for a heavy-duty battery, but this amount of power is still small compared to its peers'.
It has pros and cons as far as hardware is concerned, as well. Its 1.3GHz clock speed is a pro (relatively), but a dual-core processor seems awfully outdated even for a low-range device. Its 512MB RAM appears to be the norm in its sub-category, but this phone's internal memory of 4GB is easily trampled by comparable 8GB options.

As shown by this pros and cons review, the Dash L3's price range commands a very limited set of features. It's not for people who need camera specs that are at least passable, but it seems like a possible choice for bargain hunters who still want a pretty-looking device.
