BLU Energy M Review of Pros And Cons

- Analysis by KJ David

Despite boasting what BLU calls a Super Battery, the Energy M opts for a not-so-super bundle of pros and cons, obviously catering to stamina-cautious entry-level shoppers.

Its key pro, specifically, a massive 4000mAh battery that scores up to 72 hours of standard use and up to 720 hours of standby time, supports several old-fashioned cons. These include a mere 3G-only network connectivity , a sub-standard (by 2016 measures) 5-inch 854 x 480 196ppi screen , and a low-caliber 5-megapixel f/2.8 rear camera . It also sports a 2-megapixel-only selfie cam , though its frontal LED flash makes it a tad more interesting compared to what many other low-ranking 2016 smartphones have. Processing-wise, the BLU Energy M's non-energizing specs are unsurprisingly met by a 1.3GHz quad-core engine with only 1GB of RAM .

Bottomline: If you are eyeing a starter-class, yet high-stamina Android phone, the Energy M may be worth a look.
