While many budget phones gun for a bit more personality by choosing one particular spec and specializing in it, the BLU Grand Mini has apparently taken a rain check on this practice. As shown in the following pros and cons, it has instead faithfully stuck to the basics, and in the process has defined itself just as well as its specialist competitors.
Like any other Android phone, it's of course capable of the basics -- calling, texting, and browsing, among other things. However, these functions are limited by the lack of LTE support 
. In spite of this stripped-down connectivity feature, the Grand Mini didn't fail to offer dual Micro SIM slots

Perhaps even more surprising is the lack of a metal finish . Although one can't really expect metal from a low-end phone, BLU phones are known to offer metal devices-on-a-budget, in spite of being mostly in the low-end market. At the very least, the Grand Mini has successfully maintained a relatively-thin and light exterior at 8.6mm and 132 grams, respectively.

Moving on to performance pros and cons, this phone sports a promising (for its price range) 1.3GHz clock speed . However, its RAM remains meager at 512MB .
To cap off this specs analysis, we mention that the Grand Mini's battery looks too-inadequate at 1500mAh . Granted, it doesn't really have much to power, given its unsophisticated specs -- but we feel like it could've scored a few more points by taking advantage of this fact and taking the stance of a long-lasting phone.
Compared to other budget smartphones that have a bit more ambition, it seems like the Grand Mini prefers to keep things as simple as possible. This doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing, as doing so has enabled the device to cater to the niche of consumers who want their handhelds to be as straightforward as possible.
