BLU Life One X2 Mini Pros & Cons Review

- Analysis by Christelle Nina

The Life One X2 Mini is one of BLU's more high-end offerings. It appears to be designed to offer a few bits and pieces of high-tier hardware, while keeping the release price point strictly mid-range.

A 5-inch 1080p display headlines its list of pros and cons. Because it has shaved 0.2 inches off the BLU Life One X2's 5.2-inch screen (which sports the same resolution), it has earned the advantage of offering a finer display. Made of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 , it offers an attractive 440DPI pixel density .

The Life One X2 Mini sports a beefed-up 4GB RAM (in comparison to similar models), while an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor reigns inside its aluminum body . A clock speed faster than the 1.4GHz that it currently flaunts would have been a better match for such a promising amount of RAM .

For imaging pros and cons, another notable downgrade from the original Life One X2 can be seen in its rear camera. Compared to the bigger phone's 16-megapixel sensor, it sports a smaller 13-megapixel shooter at the back (which is still not a bad spec for a mid-ranger). It also rocks an LED flash-equipped 8-megapixel selfie cam, which is a pleasant offering at its market range.

While its 8.7mm body may leave some users longing for a thinner device, this con may be justified by a sizable 3000mAh power tank . Being able to offer 64GB's worth of internal memory is another stone added to its pile of pros.

It evidently lacks the high-profile clock speed, ultra-thin design, and Quad HD (or higher) display that dominate the premium-class store shelves of late, but the BLU Life One X2 Mini is a theoretically-good place to start for users who want a smartphone with some higher-end features sprinkled here and there.
