BLU Studio G Plus HD Review & Pros And Cons

- Analysis by KJ David

This upgraded version of the 2015 Studio G Plus scraps older phone's FWVGA-480p display for a 5.5-inch HD-720p BLU Infinite View interface and adds a 5-megapixel selfie camera to its list of pros (The older model suffers from a 0.3-megapixel selfie cam), but it does not escape the typical cons of a 2016 entry-level smartphone.

Filling up its bucket of dated specs are its lack of a 4G LTE adapter , which is particularly disappointing for a 2016 Q4 release, and its low-end hardware components: a 1GB-only RAM as well as a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor . Additionally, its 5-megapixel rear camera resolution does not seem impressive compared to the 8-megapixel qualities offered by some similar models. It does, however, features a mirror-like front finish and dons a shell of either Gold, Rose Gold, or Grey.

In essence, the BLU Studio G Plus HD is a fitting follow-up to its non-HD predecessor, but its pros and cons call out to the same entry-level clientele.
