- Analysis by KJ David
Rarely do we see a smartphone rigged with a 1.4GHz octa-core processor settle for entry-level specs, but the BLU Studio X8 HD does exactly that by listing an age-old 512MB RAM and a 4GB-only internal memory among its cons. Moreover, it suffers from a basic 5-megapixel rear camera , though the 5-megapixel selfie shooter sounds like a nice touch.
Its other pros include an up-to-64GB microSD card support , since tons of other 4GB-memory models only allow up to 32GB of external space, as well as a perforated pattern on its battery lid that gives it a bit of an edge over many competitors on the design aspect.
Holding together its bundle of pros and cons is a so-so 5-inch HD display , which, again, we do not think deserves its eight-core processing chip.
