The Coolpad Canvas is a smartphone that is poised to offer LTE 
at a budget price point. A close inspection of its pros and cons, however, reveal that there's more to this device than the 4G capabilities that it puts forward.
Perhaps the most distinct area where the Canvas holds much potential is in its hardware. With a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 425 processor , it beats most other budget models out there. Coupled with 2GB of RAM , it seems that it might be able to provide a taste of mid-range performance for the more budget-conscious.

Moving on to one of its main downsides, the Coolpad Canvas significantly lags behind in terms of its display's specs. At 5.5 inches, it treads phablet territory, and having a 1080-pixel by 720-pixel resolution 
doesn't really help its case. The resulting pixel density is a paltry 235DPI -- making this phone an unlikely pick for multimedia-dependent users.

As for battery-related pros and cons, this smartphone has an average-sounding 2500mAh battery. Surprisingly enough, it's able to last through an above-average span of 17.7 hours while on 2G calls , according to Coolpad.
Lastly, we take notice of the Canvas' plain-looking exterior . Coupled with a relatively-thick 0.33in body , it's not exactly the most envy-inducing phone on the market. Of course, with such a promising collection of performance specs at a low-end price range, we feel like the ordinary design may be excused. Nonetheless, it's helpful to point out that better options exist in this device's subcategory if you're among the design-minding bunch.
Compared to other low-end Androids, the Coolpad Canvas has really upped its game in the performance and connectivity arenas. Its display and aesthetic value had been sacrificed in the process -- but in the end, it still looks like a cheap phone with promising value.
