HTC 8XT Pros And Cons Review

Picture of the HTC 8XT, by HTC

What is a WVGA (480 x 800) display resolution doing on a phone with an 8-mp CMOS BSI camera? Other than this notable mismatch, we find that HTC's take on a Windows-run device is pretty decent, particularly with the free 7GB of SkyDrive cloud storage on top of its already fair memory capacity (8GB internal with up to 64GB microSD expansion). Imaging also matches other HTC-Android models, as the 8XT sports a BSI camera with 1.4um pixel size, placing it relatively close to the ultrapixel category. Of course, HTC slapped on their BoomSound audio and Sense Voice, shooting for a better multimedia experience. We appreciate the effort on this one, and perhaps with a few tweaks, HTC will have a new series to work on, other than their Desire brand.
