HTC Desire 510 Pros And Cons Review

Picture of the HTC Desire 510, by HTC

- Analysis by KJ David

Despite pitching it as a dumb-down release of HTC's high-end models, the Desire 510 appears to be a pretty respectable HTC-Android device. In fact, its quad-core processor, 8GB memory and 1GB RAM are right on par with many 2014 mid- to high-end releases. We also like the Dot View Retro case that provides protection as well as closed-case phone access. Nifty touches like this will likely grab more attention than other archetypal packages. The Desire 510's weakness may lie on its imaging (5-megapixel and VGA cameras), which pretty much failed our expectations from HTC. Decent performance and HTC perks for entry-level imaging? The choice probably boils down to user preference.
