The Ascend G7 appears to have come short of Huawei's other IFA unveils, dragging down processor clock speed to 1.2GHz (though still with four CPU cores at 64-bit) and display resolution to 720p -- perhaps to retain the flagship look? Its a good thing Huawei did not trade off imaging, as this 5.5-inch model packs the power of a 13-megapixel BSI camera, with a selfie camera at 5 megapixels up front. Its 3000mAh battery and LTE bands are not too shabby as well. However, the niceties end there, as we believe that the Ascend G7 was intended to fill the mid-range phablet demand, as opposed to high-end markets like the Ascend P7 Sapphire or the Ascend Mate7.
