Huawei raises the stakes with the Ascend G740 - although not by much. It does not give the 5-inch smartphone's dual-core processor a lot of horsepower (just 1.2GHz), but it does add DTS to its audio system to improve sound quality. The Android (with Emotion UI skin) device is also equipped with other respectable features such as a 1280 x 720 IPS screen with 293 pixels per inch, 1GB of RAM, and an 8-megapixel camera with a backside illuminated sensor and a 1-megapixel partner. All things considered, it is probably safe to say that it climbed up (in the mobile ladder), but not to dizzying heights.
