In the long line of Ascend smartphones, the Ascend Plus does not particularly plussify anything special. Sure, its 1GHz dual-core processor and Android 4.0 OS nearly double up that of the original model, but they do not really beat out other phones within its class. The 5-megapixel camera sounds nice, but is pretty standard for mid-level Androids, and its memory limitation (as other phones have better capacities) is also quite a letdown. It did do its work as one of the successors to the original Ascend, but if Huawei wants a clear spot within the mid-ranged market, the Ascend Plus might need a few successors of its own.
