Those who are hoping to take the plunge into the deep blue smartphone sea are promised an easy time by the Ascend Y530, whose life buoy of choice is Huawei's Simple Android Interface (we think the name says it all). It also sports a dual-core 1.2GHz processor (which seems faster than the single-core 800MHz ones we have seen), a 4.5-inch 854 x 480 TFT screen (which is probably sharper than other entry-level screens, especially with 218 pixels per inch), and a 1750mAh battery with 591 hours or almost 25 days of standby time. But as it is admittedly for beginners, we are not surprised by the 5-megapixel camera, 512MB RAM, and 4GB internal memory.
