Huawei G9 Plus Review & Pros And Cons

- Analysis by KJ David

Led by a 16-megapixel 4K-video-capable rear camera , the Huawei G9 Plus's specifications are obviously headed for the high-end market. That being said, you may want to look elsewhere for a Quad HD (1440p) display, since this G9-edition's 5.5-inch 2.5D-glass-finished screen settles for a Full HD (1080p) resolution only .

Apart from its high-ranking camera, the G9 Plus's pros include a 2GHz Qualcomm MSM8953 octa-core processor and a 3GB RAM , both of which give it a strong footing versus lots of other high-end contenders. It also delivers fingerprint identification (sensor placed right under its rear cam), mimicking many 2016-released flagships.

Although being limited to a fixed-focus capacity (some selfie shooters have autofocus functions) , not many high-end models share the G9 Plus's 8-megapixel selfie cam resolution , making it an excusable con overall. Also, while we cannot help but wish that it had 64GB/128GB of native memory, its 32GB-only on-board storage is accompanied by an up-to-128GB microSD card slot .

With a 3340mAh battery and Huawei's EMUI 4.1 (Android 6.0 Marshamllow base platform) wrapping up its pros and cons, the Huawei G9 Plus likely lands on the hands of high-end Android shoppers in search of 4K video-recording tied up with a top-tier CPU.
