Huawei Honor 5X Review of Pros And Cons

- Analysis by KJ David

The Honor 5X (aka X5) represented Huawei during the CES 2016, with a bundle of pros and cons that reminded us of many other high-end Huawei phones released before it. Specs like a 2GB RAM and a Full HD screen resolution are not this 5.5-incher's strongest selling points though, as many high-end alternatives boast 3GB RAMs and Quad HD displays.

That said, we are more than satisfied with its 64-bit split-octa-core processor (Adreno 405 graphics) and Fingerprint Identification 2.0 technology , which lets you launch certain phone functions or protect your files using your fingerprint. Its 13-megapixel 28mm f/2.0 SmartImage 3.0 camera isn't too shabby either, though it's not the best this Android class has to offer. Adding to its pros are a SmartPower 3.0 3000mAh battery and a brushed aluminum shell , both resembling many of Huawei's top-of-the-line devices.

To rehash, the Huawei Honor 5X is a high-end smartphone with a couple of mid-level flaws.
