Kyocera enters the CES 2016 with the AT&T-carried DuraXE, whose collection of pros and cons suggest a mix between classic flip phone and smartphone specs.

It sticks to a conventional 2.6-inch QVGA (240 x 320) TFT screen , with an extra 1.08 monochrome LCD on the flip lid. On the outside, we get an IP68- and MIL-STD-810G-certified shell , making it impervious to dust grains and liquids, among other things. It also features a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and an LED flash , which is obviously not something we get everyday out of clamshell devices. Also among the DuraXE's pros is a 4G LTE adapter , giving it the network capability similar to many recent Android smartphones.

Size (25.1mm thickness, 170g weight) and battery power (1500mAh), are sadly not on your side with the Kyocera DuraXE, but it does pack the punch that most older flip phones lack.
