Kyocera Torque KC-S701 Pros & Cons Review

Picture of the Kyocera Torque KC-S701, by Kyocera

- Analysis by KJ David

While its non-removable battery and 2-megapixel sub-camera may seem like questionable cons, the 4.5-inch Kyocera Torque boasts several pros that try to make up for them.

Starting from the outside, this ultra-rugged model sports a waterproof and dust-tight casing (IP68) as well as US Military Standard resistance to various environmental factors. This suggests a certain inclination towards a clientele working in construction and the like.

Underneath its gritty facade is the Smart Sonic Receiver in-call innovation from Kyocera and a PTT (Push-to-Talk) side button complemented by the voxer and Zello apps . The Torque's 8-megapixel camera is rather average, but its sturdy profile certainly puts it above many other mid-range models.
