Kyocera Torque XT Pros And Cons Review

Picture of the Kyocera Torque XT, by Kyocera

- Analysis by KJ David

Following the previous Torque model from Kyocera, this 4-inch LTE Android's dust-tight, water-resistant and shock-proof casing remains a key selling point. The Smart Sonic receiver technology that promises clearly audible calls in loud environments also sounds quite nice. Another potential advantage is the Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) app suite, possibly making it a smartphone fit for work as well. That said, we were quite disappointed that the Torque XT only ran on two CPU cores (1.2GHz) and only 1GB of RAM.However, its 20GB internal memory overtakes many mid-range alternatives, but its main camera being only 5-megapixel, we wonder why so much memory... Despite that apparent lack of balance, Kyocera's Torque XT still seems like a decent outdoor-ready smartphone.
