We were not expecting much out of a 3.2-inch device, and it seems that LG did not want us to either. Right away, we notice that the 3-megapixel camera is easily inferior to most other entry-level models with at least 5-megapixel snappers. It does not even hint to any flash or auto focus, not to mention that it lacks a front-facing camera. Another weak point is the 512MB RAM, which, for a phone that runs the latest Android version and supports signature LG features, might not deliver. The 1.2GHz dual-core processor does seem to make up for it, though. And a 1540mAh battery is pretty decent as well. Despite a relatively uninspiring spec sheet, the L53 might just win the hearts of those trying to squeeze the most out of a tight budget.
