LG Motion 4G Review of Pros And Cons

Picture of the LG Motion 4G, by LG

At first glance, the LG Motion can already be considered mid-range, with its 1200Mhz dual-core processor, 4G LTE technology, a 1080p full HD video recorder, and Corning Gorilla Glass display protection. We like the special QuickMemo screen shot annotation feature, but we would have expected better built-in cameras (The 5-megapixel main camera and VGA front camera do not blow us away).

On-paper Review rating:

Cons:

Smaller touch screen:

We hope you don't have big hands, since the Motion 4G's touch screen has a smaller display surface to press on than many other smartphones. According to our calculations, it has a 5.65 square inch-display while

Unknown SAR rating:

We didn't find SAR (radiation level) information for this phone.

Just a TFT?:

TFT displays are ok (they used to be the best option), but in such a high-end phone, we prefer AMOLED, or even SuperAMOLED displays, known for their brightness in sunlight, richer contrast and lower energy consumption.

Unknown weight:

It's frustrating that we could not find its weight information.

And Now, the Pros:

Swype:

The LG Motion 4G features the Swype text entry system. Swype lets you enter text simply by gliding the keyboard with your finger over the right characters.

HDMI connector:

The HDMI port will be useful to watch HD (1920 x 1080 resolution) videos recorded with the LG Motion 4G on an HDTV (HDMI cable might be sold separately).
