LG Optimus Zone 2 Pros And Cons Review

Picture of the LG Optimus Zone 2, by LG

We like to think that the Optimus Zone 2 might actually be a decent option for those who are in the market for a cheap and simple smartphone that fits well in the pocket. Unlike its predecessor, the Zone 2 boasts LG's QuickMemo and Guest Mode feature, as well as smart LED lights, which glows in different colors -- each one representing a specific notification. LG backs these features up with the latest Android OS version (4.4.2 KitKat), mobile hotspot (capable of sharing 3G data connection with up to 5 compatible devices), and Bluetooth 4.0.

However, despite these attractive features (at least, for a basic smartphone), everything else about this device screams entry-level: the 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) TFT display, the 512MB RAM, the 4GB internal memory, the 1.2 GHz processor, the 1700mAh battery, and the single 3-megapixel camera that has no flash.
