Despite its flagship-level design and Exynos 7420 processor (14nm 64-bit octa-core) , the Meizu PRO 5 fails to deliver a Quad HD screen , which most of us look for in full-blown premium-speck smartphones. Its non-removable 3050mAh battery might also be a problematic con for some users.
That said, Meizu managed to pack this 5.7-inch Full HD AMOLED model with upscale technologies like a 360-degree rotational fingerprint scanner (mTouch 2.1), a reversible Type-C USB protocol , and a Hi-Fi audio system decked out with a solo amp circuit and an OPA1612 amplifier. Its 21.16-megapixel 4K Sony IMX230 camera also sounds like a nifty tool for the budding professional digital photographer -- especially with both laser-aided and phase-detection (PDAF) autofocus in tow.
Tying up the PRO 5's feature set is a 32GB/64GB UFS 2.0 flash memory and either 3GB or 4GB of RAM, making it the most capable phone from Meizu as of its release.
