Touting a 5.7-inch QHD-1440p 600nit-bright 3D-sensing always-on display , the 2016 Meizu Pro 6 Plus is a mouthful when it comes to technical specs, but let's start with its cons, shall we? First off, it does not offer any support for memory expansion , which may turn out to be a deal-breaker for some tech-savvy multimedia junkies. Additionally, it drops from the original Pro 6's 21.16-megapixel rear-camera resolution down to only 12 megapixels , but it does have several imaging pros elsewhere. These include a chic 10-LED circular dual-tone flash as well as 4-axis optical image stabilization , with a 4K (2160p) maximum video-recording resolution also aboard -- an expected facet for any flagship wannabe.

Its hardware setup consists of a 14nm Exynos 8890 octa-core processor running at 2.3GHz + 1.6GHz with Turbo Mode, a technology that brings that clock rate all the way up to 2.6GHz for heavy usage . It also comes with a 12-core Mali-T880 graphics engine and 4GB's worth of LPDDR4 RAM . Note, though, that some of its premium rivals boast 6GB of RAM.

As for its multimedia pros and cons, this premium phablet boasts a Hi-Fi audio system decked out with features like ES9018K2M and NXP Smart PA audio chips , both of which are tell-tale audio perks for a high-ranking 2016 Android phone. Accompanying its swanky rear camera is a 5-megapixel f/2.0 selfie cam with ArcSoft beautification , which, though it shares with some of its predecessors, does not sound as promising as some other premium contenders' 8- and 13-megapixel selfie shooters. For storage, its maximum non-expandable USF 2.0 memory caps off at 128GB , which is stil tolerable, at least as of this review.

A few more of its perks include a 360-degree fingerprint scanner and a respectable 3400mAh battery that powers up through its Type-C + USB 3.1 port . Holding everything in place is a Meizu's micro-arc design (with minimalist antenna architecture) coated in colors like gold and silver.

With a mix of pros and cons that screams ultra-high-end, we won't be surprised to hear of tech geeks salivating over the Meizu Pro 6 Plus.
