Motorola Droid RAZR HD Pros & Cons Review

Picture of the Motorola Droid RAZR HD, by Motorola

The Droid RAZR HD took the same idea behind the original Droid RAZR, but with improved features. Upgraded specifications include a bigger screen with higher resolution (now 720p HD) and a faster CPU. It has an impressively big 2530mAh battery that is claimed to run up to six hours of 4G Internet browsing. It is noteworthy, however, that bigger screens mean bigger bodies and this phone is no exception (it is 13cm long and 6.7cm wide).

On-paper Review score:

Pros:

4.7-inch screen is above average:

It boasts a larger-than-average, 4.7-inch display, with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

Lots of onboard memory:

The Droid RAZR HD includes a large internal memory (12000MB), but it may sometimes be more interesting to buy a phone with an included memory card instead, since the memory card can then be reused in a future cell phone.

High-definition (8-megapixel) camera:

It includes a high-megapixel camera (8-megapixel) with the following options: 8x Digital Zoom, Auto Focus, LED Flash.

Special features:

It has these special features: Data Tethering, ECompass, NFC

HDMI plug:

The HDMI port will be useful to watch HD (1920 x 1080 resolution) videos recorded with the Motorola Droid RAZR HD on an HDTV (HDMI cable might be sold separately).

Cons:

Sub-standard selfie cam:

Nowadays, we expect more than only 1.3-megapixel of selfie camera resolution.

Unknown weight:

It's frustrating that we could not find its weight information.
