Motorola RAZR M Review & Pros And Cons

Picture of the Motorola RAZR M, by Motorola

The 1500Mhz dual-core CPU of the RAZR M may not be the fastest, but it has plenty to offer on other departments that impressed us: A 4.3-inch edge-to-edge Super AMOLED display with an aircraft-grade aluminum frame, Corning Gorilla Glass protection, 4G LTE, and a Kevlar-made back plate.

On-paper Star rating:

Cons (or Not-so-great Features):

Higher-than-average radiation:

The Motorola RAZR M's SAR rating of 1.3 w/kg is among the highest, on a scale that goes as high as 1.60. Even if the health risks associated with cell phone radiation are not proven, it's worth knowing that there are many phones that emit less radiation than this one.

Is there an HDMI port?:

The RAZR M can record high-resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) videos. Bravo! But we couldn't confirm whether it had an HDMI port or not. HDMI, which lets you connect to an HDTV, is not essential, but would be great on an HD phone.

Unknown weight:

It's disappointing that we were not able to find information about its weight.

Pros:

Swype:

With Swype, you can "type" text just by gliding a finger over the letters one would normally press.

Large display:

The display is pretty big, with its 4.3-inch diagonal size and its 960 x 540 resolution (in pixels).

Interesting camera:

Superior camera resolution - 8-megapixel - with these features: Digital Zoom, Auto Focus, LED flash, Multi-shot.
