We are quite impressed that NEC seems to have come through on the promise of a smart and strong smartphone. The Terrain, as its name suggests, is designed to live through shocks, scratches, dusts, UV-light, salt fog and even water immersion with its US Mil-STD 810G and IP67 certified durability. As for performance, it runs on the 4.0 Android Ice Cream Sandwich and is powered by a faster-than-average 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, not to mention a 1900mAh Li-ion battery. Its 3.1-inch display allows touchscreen navigation, but the 5-megapixel camera behind it might interest you more. It might not have the sleek look of typical other smartphones, but it could potentially do heavier work.
