Nokia 110 Pros & Cons Review

Picture of the Nokia 110, by Nokia

Even though the Nokia 110 is an entry-level bar phone, it offers more than just call and text with its Internet related features, such as social networking, Email, IM, and basic web browsing. We cant expect much from its camera though, which is only VGA.

On-paper Review score:

First, the Cons:

Low Memory:

Included memory ( 10MB on-board memory ) is too little by smartphone standards.

Lower video frames per second rate:

The Nokia 110 includes a camcorder but its max video recording rate of 10 frames per second (fps) is kind of low. In comparison, movie theatres use a rate of 24fps and most TV sets display more than 30 fps.

Very rudimentary camera:

Considering that most recent camera phones feature at least 5 megapixels, the Nokia 110 and its 0.3-megapixel camera look like dinosaurs.

Unknown radiation level:

We were unable to find SAR (radiation level) information for this phone.

Not a very fine-resolution display!:

Don't expect the Cadillac of cell phone screens. Don't even expect the Hyundai. This display is only 113.48 dots-per-inch fine, while some other phones are over 150 or even 300!

Unknown weight:

It's disappointing that we could not find its weight information.

Now, the Pros:

Dual-SIM model:

Thanks to its two (2) SIM card slots, you can swtich between two network cards in a wink.

Basic camera but decent options:

Though the 0.3-megapixel camera is only basic, it at least offer a few advanced control options, such as: Digital zoom, Self-timer, Still image Editor, Exposure Compensation, Full screen viewfinder, Auto and Manual White Balance settings, Active toolbar, Landscape orientation, White balance modes (Automatic, Daylight, Fluorescent, Incandescent)
