Oppo maintains its heavy inclination towards imaging with the R11, a 5.5-inch 2017 model that breaks ultra-high-end territory with its 20-megapixel + 16-megapixel dual-rear-camera technology , enough to overwhelm the cameras of many other high-end devices. This massive pro is accompanied by equally-high-tech features like Qualcomm's Spectra Image Signal Processor , a 2x dual-camera zooming function (up to 10x digital zoom) , and 4K-2160p video-recording .
Looking into its other pros and cons, there's apparently more where the Oppo R11's imaging perks come from, since it blusters with a 20-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies , which is among the most-promising selfie shooters out there (as of August 2017), at least as far as raw pixel resolution in concerned. That said, Oppo's non-mention (or did we not find it?) of any accompanying LED flash or screen flash feature is an outright con for a camera this advanced.

As for the remainder of its specs, the R11 features a 5.5-inch screen with an unimpressive (by 2017 standards) 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution . To make up for its lack of a 2560 x 1440 Quad HD interface, however, it comes with a highly-redeeming quality, in the form of a damage-resistant Gorilla Glass 5 cover glass . In comparison, many of its upscale rivals settle for Gorilla Glass 3 or Gorilla Glass 4, so its screen protection is certainly up there.
Popping the hood open, the R11 uses a flagship-caliber Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 split eight-core processor clocking in at 2.2GHz + 1.8GHz . This works hand-in-hand with a 4GB RAM capacity , which we have come to expect out of any 2017 smartphone geared towards a tech-savvy audience.

Power capacity is where it kinda drops the ball, settling for a 3000mAh-only battery pack , despite lots of other high-end alternatives (including its R11 Plus sibling) lugging at least 4000mAh of power. This is an Oppo flagship, though, so it banks on the VOOC Flash Charge technology , promising up to two hours of talk time in just a 5-minute charge. As for memory, while we are unimpressed with its 64GB on-board storage , since many of its contemporaries pack 128GB of native memory, we are more than satisfied with its up-to-256GB maximum external memory allowance .

With the ColorOS 3.1 (based on Android 7.1 Nougat) tying its pros and cons together, the Oppo R11 calls out to high-end shoppers who are willing to forgo a top-notch display and battery for a taste of premium-class imaging.
