Lugging a gigantic battery cell, the OUKITEL K3 is a surefire entry into our list of the best big-battery smartphones, but before we get to its hard-hitting pros, let's get some questionable cons out of the way.

For starters, it lacks support for Near Field Communication or NFC , a wireless protocol largely used for tap-to-pay applications and data transfers that was no longer a rare smartphone feature in the high-end department when the K3 came out back in August of 2017. It also sounds ponderous compared to conventional 5.5-inchers, weighing in at a hulking 240 grams -- similarly-sized models weighed only roughly 150 grams as we were reviewing the its pros and cons.

Without a doubt, its heavy body is a consequence of packing a whopping 6000mAh's worth of power in the tank -- one of the highest raw power capacities on the market when it debuted. Its battery is aided by MediaTek's 9V/2A Pump Express flash charging technology and it reaches up to 3 days of heavy usage as well as a 40-hour (2400 minutes) maximum talk time . The K3 also comes with reverse charging via USB-OTG , enabling it to power up other smartphones and Bluetooth accessories.

Unfortunately, OUKITEL did not put as much effort into performance as it did into stamina for the K3, seeing that it opts for a middle-class 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6750T eight-core processor , whereas a lot of the top octa-core phones have chips clocked at 2GHz or higher. Its 4GB accompanying RAM and Mali-T860 graphics engine sound passable, though.

A couple more of its rather enviable specs come in the form of two identical dual camera setups. At the back, it boasts a 16- plus 2-megapixel dual-lens camera decorated with a dual-LED flash and optical image stabilization, while up front sits a dual-lens system that's also made up of 16- and 2-megapixel lenses . As of its release, only the best selfie phones boasted dual front cameras. Quad camera smartphones were also very rare back then.

Joining its pros and cons is a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) facade furbished with a damage-resistant 2.5d Asahi Glass , a fingerprint reader that's implanted into its home button, and a metallic housing.

With the Android 7.0 Nougat ecosystem wrapping things up, it seems like the OUKITEL K3 packs a strong-enough punch to appeal to high-class smartphone shoppers who are looking for a combination of endurance and respectable photography capabilities in a smartphone.
