Panasonic Eluga Note Review & Pros And Cons

Picture of the Panasonic Eluga Note, by Panasonic

It may lack a fingerprint sensor and support only up to 32GB of external memory (many similarly-specked Androids enable up to 128GB of microSD storage in comparison), but the Panasonic Eluga Note's 16-megapixel main camera with a triple LED flash makes it a notable 2016 release right off the bat.

Its remaining specs include several high-end pros, such as an IR blaster that lets you control compatible appliances like TV sets or air conditioners, a potentially-handy function that we do not see in this Android class that often. It is driven by a 1.3GHz octa-core processor alongside a 3GB DDR3 RAM , while a 32GB inbuilt memory makes its basic external memory support sound a bit less disappointing.

Also aboard this 5.5-inch Full HD model are a 3000mAh battery , a 5-megapixel selfie camera, as well as the combination of both HD voice and VoLTE -- two popular in-call audio technologies when it came out.

Our verdict: The Eluga Note's mix of pros and cons may miss out on a couple of high-end marks, but the triple-LED-flash on its rear camera is obviously something of note, completing its profile as, above all, a phone for the photo enthusiast.
