Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) Pros & Cons Review

- Analysis by KJ David

Sitting dead center between the Galaxy A3 and A7 models (2016 editions), the Galaxy A5 features a 1.6GHz octa-core processor , though the accompanying 2GB RAM could have been bumped up to 3GB, a pro offered by its A7 sibling. In addition, this model comes with less battery power at 2900mAh (3300mAh for the A7), despite rocking a similar CPU and 13-megapixel OIS main camera .

That being said, those cons are counteracted by its LTE Cat 6 network compatibility , fingerprint recognition technology , and Samsung Pay mobile payment application (via NFC or MST). Though slightly smaller than the A7's, the A5's 5.2-inch screen also retains the Full HD resolution , probably to make it an equally-competitive variant for users who find 5.5-inch screens to wide for their taste.
