Standing at 5.7 inches, the Galaxy A8 2016 is a revamped version of its 2015 predecessor, with a flagship 14nm Exynos 7420 eight-core chip (2.1GHz + 1.5GHz) and a 3GB RAM taking the places of the older phone's lower-tier hardware.
Despite those pros, however, this edition still has a few slight cons. Among these are its lack of a UHD (4K) video-capture option , which feels kinda weird, considering its 16-megapixel f/1.9 camera . Also, its 5.7-inch 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4 screen would have been moreengaging with a QHD-1440p resolution , instead of only FHD-1080p. It also has only 32GB of internal storage (several other 2016 flagships boast 64GB and 128GB variants), though its up-to-256GB external memory support makes a sizable difference.
The remainder of the A8 2016's specs include fingerprint recognition (a staple high-end facet), a 3300mAh battery , and an 8-megapixel f/1.9 secondary camera , while a powder-metal design in either Pink Gold, Light Blue, or Gold brings all its pros and cons together.
With its high-tier profile in mind, the Samsung Galaxy A8 2016 sounds like a valid option for process-hungry flagship Android buyers.
