Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime VE Review of Pros And Cons

- Analysis by KJ David

A Value Edition of the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime, this 5-inch qHD model replaces the Snapdragon 410 processor with a less-pricey Marvell PXA1908 CPU, albeit it retains the typical 1.2GHz quad-core setup with 1GB of RAM . It also runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box , instead of its base model's KitKat OS, but apart from those tweaks, its array of pros and cons are just about the same.

The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime VE's specs include NFC , an up-to-128GB microSD support that complements its 8GB memory, as well as a 2600mAh battery that promises up to 5100 minutes of continuous music playback . Nothing changed in terms of imaging as well, as the VE sports 8- and 5-megapixel cameras, which are decent, at least by 2015 standards.

To rehash, the Galaxy Grand Prime's VE edition is merely the same phone rocking a cheaper processor, obviously to bring its price down a bit.
