Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) Pros & Cons Review

- Analysis by KJ David

This 2016 edition of Samsung's Galaxy J7 offers several upgrades on the performance front, but sticks to somewhat similar cons, such as a Full-HD-only max video resolution (instead of Quad HD, aka 4K) and a 16GB native memory , as several other Samsung models have 32GB or 64GB of storage on board.

That being said, its pros include an eight-core 1.6GHz processor with 3GB of RAM and 3300mAh of power -- the 2015 version only had a 1.5GB RAM and a 3000mAh battery. Also, despite failing to deliver a QHD display , the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 at least bumps up its base model's 5.5-inch HD-720p screen to an FHD-1080p definition . All other specs seem to be similar, including its pair of 13- and 5-megapixel cameras as well as support for NFC, VoLTE, and HD voice .

In the end, the J7 2016's pros and cons aren't that different from those of its predecessor, but we salute the additional RAM and battery power.
