Spec-wise, the S5 Active obviously belongs among other high-end models. But what really sets it apart is the military grade casing, which is pretty rare for flagship smartphones. We were also enchantered as to how it will layout the adventure-related apps onto one screen, but Samsung failed to provide details (heck, even a name) for the feature. A 2.5GHz quad-core processor and a 16-megapixel camera are always nice touches for any Android. Obviously, ruggedization has its consequences, as the seamless outline of the original S5 is replaced by a rough and bulkier casing. However, if you need a smarter-than-average smartphone for your outdoor escapades, knock yourself out with the Galaxy S5 Active.
