SKY Elite Photo Pro Review of Pros And Cons

- Analysis by Christelle Nina

Let's start this pros and cons analysis with the most conspicuous set of specs: imaging capabilities. True to its name, the Photo Pro causes quite a stir with its high-end set of camera resolutions at a low-to-mid-end price point. Its 13-megapixel front shooter easily beats those of more expensive models like the 2017 Samsung Galaxy A3 and the Moto Z Force. This, in combination with an even higher rear camera resolution of 16-megapixels , is surely a rare sight in its market division. Its lenses come with a blue glass filter , as well.

As for this quad-core device's performance and capacity, the 1.3GHz clock speed that it runs on is still pretty decent for the price. The same can be said for its 2GB RAM. What may worry users is its 16GB native storage . Yes, the figure isn't that bad -- but considering its high-resolution cameras (and, consequently, the large images and video files that they will produce), the storage space may be a bit problematic. One would have to invest on a microSD card (The Photo Pro can accommodate a maximum of 32GB of additional storage) to maximize the cameras' potential.

As far as physical pros and cons go, this model sports a sophisticated-looking finish that is made of CNC aircraft-grade aluminum -- which is always a pleasant surprise for such an affordable device. However, the user experience may be a bit compromised owing to its being on the relatively-heavy side. For one, at 147 grams, it's almost as heavy as the 148-gram Zenfone 3 Max. Keep in mind that the latter sports a heavy body due to its large battery. The same can't be said for the Photo Pro, however, as its 2000mAh battery power is less than half of the Max's 4100mAh tank.

In comparison to most other dual-SIM and unlocked Androids at its price point, the Photo Pro sure does possess enticing cameras and an elite-looking aesthetic. But as for its other specs, they're mostly mediocre at best.
