Sony Xperia E3 Pros And Cons Review

Picture of the Sony Xperia E3, by Sony

Sony's Xperia E sub-series clearly wants to remain on the mid-range market, as the E3 sports only a 5-megapixel rear camera with only a VGA front cam -- does it not sound prehistoric (especially from Sony, given its obsession on cameras)? Its display is also quite modest at 218ppi with a resolution of 480 x 854. Perhaps to counteract these drawbacks, Sony squeezed in some high-end touches, probably enough to keep this Xperia above other mid-level competitors. We like how they packed LTE-connectivity and NFC in this 4.5-inch package. Its battery power is also quite substantial at 2330mAh when matched with its feature set. Other specs are borrowed from more popular models, which leads us to believe that they wanted to bring the Xperia profile to a lower price point. Or was that Sony's plan all along?
